Aims of Training

The Skills Training and Development Centre is now a frull fledged multidisciplinary therapy training centre primarily to:

Train all caregivers/ staff from Government Organisations and Non Profit Organisations to be proficient in CBR skills with the award of a Certificate of Proficiency endorsed by the National CBR Coordinating Committee with the Malaysian Rehabilitation Council.

Develop a resource centre built on the collective documentation of the data and research activities as part of the rehabilitation training and development programme.

To develop the Skills Development Unit, into a regional centre for hands-on skills transfer and development focusing on quality performance by caregivers.

To model the training modules along the same approach as the modules used in the Rehabilitation Support Team (ReST) model with modifications as and when necessary according to the academic background of the participants and their area of practice.
